This was a particularly open brief where I was only given the word “clash” to work with. I instantly thought about the clash between the younger and older generations. Initially I thought about tattoos, which then progressed onto the idea of drugs. After doing research in a local rehab, I found that all the residents tried to hide their addiction from their family and this offered me the imagination for my visuals. I felt that the residents were facing many conflicts within their own lives, and although my imagery may be viewed as controversial, I intentionally wanted to illustrate some of these conflicts as “clashes”.
